 Prevention of Nosebleeds

The first step in preventing nosebleeds is to remove the cause. Most often this means not removing scabs inside the nose, stopping any blood thinning medication if possible, and getting untreated high blood pressure under control if it is not being treated adequately.
The second step is to promote the healing of the delicate nose tissue. Humidifying a dry environment with a humidifier or a saline nose spray is a good idea regardless of the climate that you live in or if a humidifier is already on your furnace. |
